A line tube dress is a specific style of wedding dress that almost makes you resemble a blossom encased in leaves. This is a strapless gown that is cut straight across the bust. There is an overlay of heavy satin that is split down the side or center of the skirt to reveal a puff of chiffon or silk beneath.
These types of dresses are also common in prom gowns but this style in ivory or pink would do very well as an inexpensive wedding dress or as a wedding dress that has a 50s or 60s style of theme.
As this type of dress already comes with a wrap all you need is a pair of diamante gloves and a diamante necklace to dress it right up. The line tube dress also looks great on bridesmaids.

Are you German in heritage and want to wear a wedding dress that reflects the best contemporary designs of that culture? German wedding dresses tend to be very simple with clean, sharp and crisp lines. There is never much ruching or fussy details on this type of dress which is at its prime in a snow white silk fabric. These dresses are very tightly fitted about the bodice and there are rarely any straps on these dresses, so it is important to have well toned upper arms if you are going to pull this look off. Many of the bodices resemble tight fitting swim wear and the skirts are fuller and very A line. Synthetic materials that flow and yet hold their shape at the same time are also important components of the German wedding dress. To see examples of this very sleek style you can go or Wearsktatt, which is a respected designer and retail outlet of wedding attire in Germany.

Don’t get stressed and settle on the first dress you find that fits! That’s a could way to fall prey to some of the most common wedding gown mistakes out there. Your deserve a beautiful dress for your big day. Don’t let any of the following mistakes bring you down:
Mistake #1: A Dress that is Too Tight
We all know that gaining and losing weight is possible between the date you buy the dress and the date you actually wear it. Don’t get a dress that is too small right from the start! Yes, we all want that lower number, but most brides never actually lose those 20 pounds before their wedding. Instead, get the bigger size. If you lose the weight, you can just get it altered. Trust me, a dress that is too tight will only make you look bigger.
Mistake #2: Forgetting to Budget for Support
You wedding gown isn’t the only thing you’ll be wearing on your big day. In addition, you’ll also need a really great bra to help you fill out the dress fabulously. You might also way to go for the bustier or another kind of body-shaping undergarment for that smooth, sleek look.
Mistake #3: Waiting to Shop
Start shopping early. Wedding gowns can take weeks to ship in and be altered. If you start shopping only a month before your wedding, you might have to settle for one of the floor models, which limits your choices greatly. Keep in mind, though, that the latest trends might not be so trendy in a year when you have your wedding. Stick to classic and you’ll look beautiful.
You can find more gown dos and don’ts at The Knot.
What if there were some kind of undergarment that could pull your body into the perfect shape for your wedding day, and give you a sleek and sexy look without ripples or bulges under your wedding gown? There is, and it has been around for hundreds of years. Bridal corsets are the perfect bridal gown accessory for your big day.

Corsets like the one above, which comes from the large bridal selection at Absolute Corsets, are perfect for lifting, shaping, and showing off the body that you can have with just a little help. Make sure to try your dress on and have it altered over the corset for the best fit (and to make sure that it doesn’t show), and you will look perfect on your big day. From overbust to underbust and even corsets that can be paired with a skirt on your wedding day and worn as outerwear, a corset is the wedding accessory that you don’t want to go without!

A wedding gown is an expensive investment, and keeping it looking new and beautiful is something that some brides find highly important. The sentimental value of that wedding dress, kept carefully stored in a box for years in some cases, is quite high. It is certainly possible that you will wear your gown again, and you may even choose to pass your gown on to your own children or grandchildren. To keep it looking new and beautiful, follow these tips:
~Get it cleaned. No matter what it looks like now, the oils on your body and spills like white wine will show up over time, discoloring and even weakening your dress. But don’t just use any drycleaner!
~Choose a drycleaner that advertises special wedding gown services, like this one. They should use a different set of chemicals than the ones that are used on regular clothing, and should pay special attention to how the gown is treated and cared for.
~Ask to see the gown before it is packed away. Make sure that there are no stains left, and that you are satisfied with the cleaning job that was done.
~Lastly, make sure that the gown is stuffed with tissues. This helps to prevent permanent wrinkles and creases in your wedding gown while it is stored.
One of my favorite designers is Alfred Algelo. These wedding gowns are fun, and his Dream in Color collection is especially interesting. If you’re a bride that wants to look beautiful and unique, check out this collection. Here’s just a sampling of what you’ll find:

The trim on this dress emphasizes a small waist, creating a thin silhouette even if you’re not as thin as a rail. Like with all the dresses you see here, you can get the colored part in over 50 different hues! This dress comes in at “two bells” on their price chart, meaning that it is under $999.

If a short dress is more your style, this gown might be perfect for you. You can get it in white or ivory and again, the colored part comes in over 50 different colors so you can match you wedding! At “one bell,” it is under $599.

Really want a daring look? This lace tiered dress has a pretty colored sash. The dress is available for under $999. Once again, you can chose from a wide variety of colors.
No matter what type of wedding gown you choose for your big day, every bride has to wear it all the same. From getting ready, walking down the aisle, standing for hours, to dancing, moving and grooving, your dress needs to be mobile. In order to keep up with all that action, a bride needs to sit and rest from time to time. But before you take a seat, review these how-to tips on sitting in your wedding dress.
1) Don’t let it wrinkle. With a long gown, make sure you sit evenly and on smooth surfaces. Avoid creasing your gown beneath your bottom. If you have to travel with the gown on, use a vehicle that has plenty of space for you to stretch out.
2) Do protect yourself from stains. Imagine that everything you sit on could stain your dress like grass. In some cases, this will require you to poof your dress over top of the chair, so ladies, wearing appropriate underwear is a must.
3) Don’t pick style over comfort in this. Wearing a hoop under your dress can damper your entire day. You won’t be able to get close to your husband or sit comfortably. Ask your designer other ways to get that beautiful body in a gown without adding a guarded piece of plastic.
4) Do remember to cross your legs. If you have a short dress (anything knee length and above), you have to be extra aware of your etiquette. Cross you legs at the ankles when you sit. Position your skirt to rest over your lap. An extra tip – make sure you have long table linen at the bridal table during the reception as you will be the spotlight of all your guests.
If you are still weary about sitting in your dress, then practice makes perfect. Try your dress on and sit on different surfaces to see how the fabric reacts. If a lot of wrinkles occur, then you will know what to avoid and have time to fix them before your wedding day. If you are not used to wearing a dress for a long period of time, practice for a few days leading up to the ceremony. Any old skirt or dress will do!
