If you really want a highly unusual gown consider a cream-colored leather lambskin gown. This is a one of a kind gown, which is made from a designer known as Ava Marie Couture in Dallas, Texas in the United States. The gown is strapless and tightly fitted and it flows, screen siren style, straight to the floor. It is a strangely beautiful gown and highly attractive in a very primal way. It could be that it is because brides as long ago as the time of Moses probably got married in hides like this however they weren’t so attractively stitched together.
One of the nice things about this wedding gown is its sense of luxury and weight. It is very soft to the feel and would need very little adornment to look absolutely fantastic. It also would suit many different types of brides including the one with Goth interests, Elvish brides, cowboy brides and brides that want to wear what might have been worn at the time of the Crusades. If you are a Goth you could probably get this dress dyed a brilliant blood red or black as might be your preference.
Surprisingly it is also not very expensive for such an ecletic item and is priced at only $4,500 U.S.

Looking for a great wedding dress, but need to keep your budget in mind? One great way to do that is to buy your gowns wholesale or at a discount warehouse. These wedding dresses generally have been store models, runway samples, and showroom originals and are recently discontinued. Brides have tried on most. They have not been worn to actual weddings and are not used; however a few missing or loose beads may be possible as well as dust at the hemline. Most of these wedding dresses will not need dry cleaning, however you must be the one to make that decision once you have received the wedding gown. There may be some minor repairs needed; however these things will be well worth it considering the value that you are receiving for your wedding dress. One place to find a great variety is at Wholesale Wedding Gowns. Most of the ones pictured below are well under $1000.

If you are planning to wear a satin dress to your wedding then you might want to familiarize yourself with the different types of saitn. According to Babylon Wedding not all satins are equal!
Silk Duchesse Satin is the highest quality satin. It is expensive and has a distinctive sheen.
Polyester Duchesse satin is also known as Matte satin or Italian satin. It is close to the quality of silk duchesse satin but not as shiny. Its benefit is that it wrinkles less than silk Duchesse Satin.
Polyester satins are the next lowest grade of satin fabric. They have a soft sheen but it is important not to buy fabric that is too thin.
Acetate Satins are synthetic but unlike polyester have a tendency to wrinkle. Acetate is very shiny and is best used beneath layers of lace or chiffon.
As a general rule the heavier the satin is, the nicer the dress will be and the more structure the dress will have. The cheapest satins tend to be the shiniest ones.

Have you been thinking of going down the aisle looking like an ancient Greek or Roman goddess? In that case you might want to check out some of the designs on e-dress me. They actually have a section devoted to Goddess dresses and although many of them are evening gowns or prom dresses they could easily be converted to wedding dresses by simply adding a veil and a bouquet.
Particularly fetching is a bright pink columnar dress with a very wide band of gold at the waist and gold colored straps that cross around the back. This dress which has a plunging neckline is made by Joviani. It even has it’s own train which lies in an attractive looking pool at the base of the back of the bride’s feet.
You can always tell when one of these dresses is made by Joviani because they always have a touch of gold on the shoulder or on the waist.
If you want to wear a wedding dress that imitates a celebrity’s dream dress off then it is a good idea to look on Amsale. Amsale is a designer that is quick to imitate the gowns of celebrities walking down the aisles.
The designer behind this collecton, Amsale Aberra, now also works with Austin Scarlett from the popular television series Project Runway. Celebrities that have worn her dresses include Halle Berry, Julia Roberts, Angela Bassett, Lisa Kudrow, and Salma Hayek.
The lien is popular because the lines of the designs are crisp and youthful looking. Still they have that bit of a Gone With the Wind flair to them, especially since Amsale Aberra brought the whimsical and glamorous designs of Austin on board.
The dresses aren’t that expensive considering that it is basically a celebrity loved line. The price is between $3000 and $12,000 a dress. You can buy these gowns at Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.

Are you an unusually tall bride? According to Bride.net certain types of gowns might be a better fit for you than others. For instance, if you are tall and slender then a sheath gown without straps might really show off your figure. Make sure that is very tight fitting. If you are less slender then you might want to try a dress that has an A line with a dropped waist. This will make you look more slender and trim your waist so that Marilyn Monroe body shape is really emphasized. If you are pear shaped and have a tall figure then you want to go with more of a prom style that has a very tight waist and a flared out tulle or satin skirt.
If you are concerned about having broad shoulders than a scalloped neckline with capes sleeves can help you look less bulky in that area and make you appear to be more willowy as you walk down the aisle. A dropped waist also has the effect of making the shoulders look more slender as well as it balances out the hourglass shape with the bulk of the hips.
