Celtic wedding dresses have a number of distinguishing features to their design. Often this style of dress features a princess line, which means the top of the dress is cut straight across the chest. Celtic dresses also might be gathered like a peasant blouse, feature bell sleeves or boast an empire waist.

This is a very specialized wedding dress style, and certainly won’t be right for every bride. But for the couple who plans to celebrate in Renaissance, Medieval or Celtic style, there is no other choice for a dress, shoes or flower style.

Revindell Bridal specializes in this type of gown, many of which take their inspiration from the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. The image here is of a dress from Rivendell.
