When Katie Holmes married Tom Cruise she chose Georgio Armani to design her dress. It was a white off-the-shoulder number that was beaded with Swarovski crystals and covered with tulle and lace. Nicole Kidman’s wedding dress from her wedding to Keith Urban also had one shoulder. This is partly why we are seeing so many off the shoulder styles in wedding boutiques now.
Armani also designed the entire wedding party’s outfits, including Tom’s wedding tux, and the bridesmaids’ and groomsmen’s apparel. According to an article about the TomKat wedding by writer Nina Callaway, the lingerie that Katie wore beneath that expensive Armani cost about $3,000 and was from La Bra.
