If you are looking for an up-to-the-minute, simple, cream silk gown the designs of Modern Trousseau are for you. These dresses are great if you are living in a tropical climate or plan to get married on a beach somewhere. They are very youthful looking and so simple they almost look like cotton dresses. They are also not pure white dresses, instead they come in shades of creamy white that almost have a caramel sheen to them. This gives the dresses a very “green” feel.

There are also not a lot of extra detailing on these dresses from Modern Trousseau. They are not tight fitting but they are still tailored. For instance the style called Charlotte (pictured above), from the 2007 collection, has a flared skirt, but it does not have a large flare. The effect is minimal and quite stylish.

They are also a little more modern than most dresses with V-neck, halter, capped sleeve and straight bodice sleeveless style. There is a prim sense to them that make them almost turn of the nineteenth century in feel. They certainly suit the bride who is younger, who may not wear her hair up at her wedding and who does not want her wedding dress to upstage her own natural beauty at her wedding.

However as simple as they wedding dresses are they are not inexpensive. This is a favorite designer of L.A. types and you could easily see someone like Heather Locklear slipping one of these on at her next marriage to a bad boy rocker.
