Sport themed wedding gowns are all the rage in Shanghai China, where the 2008 Winter Games will be held. An article in China Daily showcases one of the cutest wedding gowns which is one that looks like an outfit for a figure skater (pictured below). This particular novelty-wedding gown has a beautiful sequined V-cut neck with a typical short and swirling a line skirt. The skirt, which qualifies as a mini, is fringed with snowy white feathers. A black velvet ribbon accenting the waist augments the sporty look of the dress.
Prices for wedding gowns will increase by 10% to 20% in 2008 in Shanghai, as there will be an estimated 135,000 couples getting married in the city. The Chinese language newspaper The Shanghai Morning Post has apparently reported that the most sought after items are Olympic themed wedding suits for grooms and groomsmen.
